The Spice Route Way
Every bar of chocolate crafted at Mirzam, begins its journey along the Spice Route. Just as merchants once carried cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, and saffron & numerous other spices across seas and deserts, today we carefully source our cocoa beans and spices from the same storied regions. Each ingredient is chosen not only for quality but also for the legacy it carries, connecting the flavors of our chocolate to centuries of trade, travel, and storytelling.
Cocoa Beans
Our cocoa beans are sourced directly from farms across the Spice Route — from lush plantations in Vietnam and India to tropical islands of Madagascar. Each origin brings unique tasting notes: citrus brightness, deep roasted coffee tones, or delicate floral aromas.
Spices
Our spices are gathered from the same storied routes once traced by caravans and dhows. Cinnamon bark, green cardamom, black pepper — each one an ancient traveler, arriving with its own tale to tell, adding depth and poetry to our chocolate.
Explore the Flavor Notes of Chocolate
Chocolate speaks in layers — like wine, like coffee. A quiet conversation of flavors unfolding with every bite. Roasted coffee, burnt sugar, wild honey, jasmine, ripe fig. The wheel is a map to this hidden world, guiding you through tastes shaped by terroir, by the slow alchemy of fermentation and the art of roasting. Follow it, and you’ll find that each note is a story, telling of its origin, its land, its cultivation.
