The deep blue glazes of historical ceramic and pottery artisans shows up in museums around the world, savouring early Chinese ‘qinghua’ and Dutch ‘delftware’ cobalt glazes, Turkish Iznik blue pottery, Japanese Arita porcelain, Persian Kashan, Moroccan Fassi or Majorelle and English willow ‘underglaze’ blue.
The artwork for this collection, was created by ceramicist Michael Chandler; a blue & white glaze expert.
