During these uncertain times, we, as a community, need to stay safe and do all we can to protect others. But who said staying home had to be a burden? Our Mirzam Chief Chocolate Maker has prepared an easy (but delicious), family-friendly, 5 ingredients only recipe to bake yourself decadent brownies to enjoy in the cosiness of your home, using any 62% to 85% dark chocolate.
You will need:
- 300g Dark Chocolate (62% to 85%)
- 230g White Sugar
- 105g All-Purpose Flour
- 3 Large Eggs
- 155g Butter
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 135C (275F)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar. Whisk until obtaining a floppy texture using a stand mixer or a hand whisk, then set aside the obtained mixture.
- In a microwavable bowl, chop in small chips of dark chocolate and melt them in the microwave. Make sure to stir the chocolate with a rubber spatula every 10 seconds to avoid burning it. Add butter and stir until it is completely melted.
- Add the eggs & sugar mixture to the melted chocolate & butter. Mix them together with a spatula, add the flour and stir until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the concoction into a greased or lined 9×13 pan, and bake it for 35 minutes.
- Use a toothpick to check if it’s ready: when the toothpick comes out almost clean, it’s time to remove your dish from the oven!
- Let it cool down at room temperature for a few hours. Remove the biscuit from the pan and cut it into squares.
Et voila! It’s time to enjoy your delicious homemade brownies as a snack, or as a dessert with a scoop of gelato on the top.
