Join us for an in depth discussion lead by Ritu Upadhyay about the work of Turquoise Mountain and Ziba Foods in Afghanistan, two organisations supporting Afghan industries by creating design, production and international marketing platforms for artisanal Afghan products. The basis of the talk will feature Florence Cortes from Mirzam, Stephanie Mahmoud from Ziba Foods and Francesca Recchia from Turquoise Mountain:
Working in collaboration on a new chocolate bar manufactured in Dubai by Mirzam Chocolate Makers using Ziba Foods’ Shakhurbai Almonds and Turquoise Mountain-commissioned artist Mohammad Zaman – a Kabul-based artist who drew the artwork for the chocolate bar wrapper.

The Afghanistan Bar Launch
Experience Mirzams’ newest collaboration chocolate bar, a 65% Dark Chocolate with an heirloom variety of almonds grown in Afghanistan and wrapped with artwork created by Afghan artist Mohammad Zaman in coordination with Turquoise Mountain. Inside the Mirzam Chocolate Makers factory together with the first tastes of the bar, will also be an exhibit of the original work and interactive presentation of information about harvesting these almonds and engaging with the artist to create this wrapper.
